Conference, Milwaukee (Wisconsin, USA)
We attended the 2026 North American Congress for Conservation and Restoration in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
It was a wonderful conference filled with people who shared a deep love and appreciation for nature through their research and fieldwork.
Milwaukee was also a great city, with good beer and Bloody Mary
. Thanks to our master chef, Uirin, we even had an amazing steak dinner at our Airbnb.
Unfortunately, smoke from the Canadian wildfires drifted into the area during our stay. Still, we managed to spend a little time exploring Chicago before our flight home. Oral presentation
Seunguk Kim - Protect or transform? Prioritizing spatially explicit forest management under climate change using a process-based model
Uirin Ha - Validating the GEDI forest structural complexity index for ecological applications in South Korean temperate forests
Jaesang Chung - Rare plants occupy distinct and less common climate niches driven by functional traits
Poster presentation
Cheolheon Kim - Integrating daily and cumulative rainfall dynamics for spatiotemporal landslide susceptibility assessment
